Having the ability to write well is an essential skill that will open many academic and career doors in life. Writing is a vital means of communication. When one can clearly communicate intended thoughts, ideas and/or direction, success is inevitable. This course is designed for both the student and the professional. Participants will explore through various forms of writing including narrative, expository, persuasive and technical writing and will practice implementing the forms into "real world" writing documents such as emails, business letters, reference manuals, cover letters and resumes. Whether you are college bound, already in college, in the workplace, and/or simply in a community, developing effective writing skills will increase career opportunities and enhance a prosperous future.

Seed Faith (GE 309) 9 Weeks (3 credits)

Instructor: Debora Arminio
Time: Tuesday Mornings – April 23rd to June 18th, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

According to Mark 11:23, Jesus clearly instructs His disciples to "have faith in God." In Luke 17:5-6, the disciples ask Jesus to increase their faith. In response, Jesus teaches His disciples to treat their faith like a seed. Although the main property of a seed may be dead or appears to be dead, Jesus assures His disciples that if they plant this seed of faith into good ground, it would take root, grow, and even bring a great harvest. This course will teach you the biblical principle of living by faith and not by sight. You will learn how to take that mustard seed of faith within you and plant it, water it, cultivate it and see it grow into a tree of faith. As your faith grows, you will become that person of great faith whom God can use to do great exploits for His kingdom and for His glory.

Applied Worship (WP 402) 9 Weeks (3 credits)

Instructor: Rev. Donnie Rosa
Time: Tuesday Evenings - April 23rd to June 18th, 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

The Applied Worship course is much more than higher level teaching on worship; it is an excellent practical worship resource for every student. This class will marry Biblical Theory with real tangible application that will bring the student into a greater divine encounter with Jesus.  In “Applied Worship”, we will study The Tabernacle of David, The Ark of the Covenant, The Song of the Lord, and The Songs of Ascent in Psalms from a theoretical perspective. Students will also experience a practical approach to the Biblical teaching by participating in live worship team rehearsals and during times of worship and prayer in the classroom.  This course is a must for every student desiring to worship in spirit and in truth. “Applied Worship” is also for those currently involved in or aspiring toward worship ministry of all levels. Worship leaders, musicians, singers, choir members, sound techs and engineers will all be enriched and empowered as true worshippers.

My Helper, My Friend (RS 409) 9 Weeks (3 credits)

Instructor: Rev. Marc Siegel
Time: Thursday Evenings - April 25th to June 20th, 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Jesus assured us that when He returned to heaven, He would not abandon us. He would send back the Holy Spirit, Who is just like Jesus, our Comforter, Helper, and Friend. It is this same Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, that was active in the lives of the Old Testament saints, in the lives of the Apostles, and Who now lives within the lives of every believer! In this course you will learn how to be sensitive to the "voice" of your "Best Friend", Who longs to guide, lead, and direct every area and aspect of your life. If you desire to develop the fruit of the Holy Spirit in your life and flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, this course is a must! As you comprehend the Biblical doctrine of the Holy Spirit, you will be empowered to fulfill the words of Christ when He declared, "…the works that I do he (you) will do also; and greater [works] than these he (you) will do, because I go to My Father."

Four Dimensions of Your Calling (LP 102) 4 Weeks (2 credits)

Instructor: Rev. Joseph Arminio
Time: Friday Evenings - May 24th to June 21st, 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

This course will deal with the 4 dimensions of levels, or seasons, of the call of God on your life. Paul clearly states in the Word of God that we can all "see" our calling. Like any other spiritual matter, there is a process, which includes challenge, stretching one's faith, new depths of consecration, and ultimately divine growth and maturity. This course is an appendix to the course entitled "The Theology of Understanding the Call of God." However this course is not a prerequisite or requirement in taking "The Four Dimensions of Your Calling. Come learn about The Holy Calling, The Hope of your Calling, The High Calling and The Heavenly Calling. If you have a desire to serve God in some capacity in ministry this course is a must for you!!
